Waverley Writers of Fowl October 18 Meeting

Dina Davis convened this meeting in the absence of Anne Skyvington.
There were nine in attendance.
Two new members joined the group, and were advised to join Fowl.
Dina explained guidelines and referenced the Waverley Writers website.
Five members read their work and received critiques:
Sylvia Barrat-Moore read ‘Manchester’
Maureen Mendelowitz read an exract from her novel
Diane Ross read a confessional essay ‘Thrust to the Heart’
Garth Alperstein read several Haiku-like poems
Gina Langley read two poems
Dina reminded members about the launch of Garth Alperstein’s book on 6 Dec
The group adjourned for afternoon tea, provided by Dina.
The next meeting of WWF on 15 November will be a speaker event open to non-members, convened by Anne Skyvington.
